The Shindig
The Shindig is a locally-owned café opening in 2018 as the anchor tenant of the new Sherman Phoenix entrepreneurial hall in Milwaukee’s Sherman Park Neighborhood.
Owned by JoAnne and Maanaan Sabir, The Shindig is the second coming of The Juice Kitchen, a successful fresh juice cafe located at 1617 W. North Avenue. For the past 3 years, customers have filled the small juice cafe and asked for more – a bigger space, more offerings, and even more of the positive energy and fresh vibes that greet everyone who comes through the door.
Some highlights from The Shindig include:
Offering nearly 1,000 square feet of community space
Offering Juice Kitchen juices and smoothies, Colectivo coffee, and a small menu of fresh bakery items, warm soups, and healthy wraps.
Employing 11 neighbors, who will receive training and holistic wrap-around support.
Creating a business that employees can own and run.

Founded in 2016, Veital Designs started with an idea that's grown into a flagship project, and with that, a company.
The problem: reusable water bottles (Think Nalgene & Hydroflask). Everything about them is great, except the lid. These lids leak, break, and are hard to work with. We decided to fix it and add more value with our multifunctional lid system.
